Let’s take a look at the Intex Raised Downy Air Bed, which comes with an electric air pump. This is one of the more popular air beds on the market today. Part of this is due to the fact of its low price. It sells for only about $60, which is quite nice. Does that mean it’s not that good of a bed then? No, not at all. There are several good buys at this price level in this industry. It is really a field where you can get your money’s worth as long as you don’t buy a total dud.
First of all, this is a nice looking air bed by my judgment. It raises to twenty two inches off the floor which makes it just about as tall as a normal bed. (So don’t fall off now!) In this review I will be focusing on the queen size version of this air mattress.

Intex Queen Raised Downy Air Bed
The Intex Raised Downy Queen air bed has even sometimes been used successfully as people’s main bed. This cracks me up a little bit, but for the right level of comfort this could be many people’s experience. More typically this is for guests. Also, when you are just moving into a place, before you’ve purchased a whole frame and all, this will bridge the gap of time in between very well. And then after you get your new bed, you can just pull this one out whenever a guest comes over. That is what it is really for anyway.
This Intex air bed does not lose air easily. This is a real asset to have in any air bed, especially one that you might want to use for more than one night at a time. Many other brands will need to be pumped back up regularly, which sounds like it’s not a problem but it’s really just one more of those things that you’d rather not be having to deal with. Owners of the Intext have regularly reported that it has held its air levels consistently, only needing to be inflated a bit more a few times over the course of several years. This is just amazing, quite frankly. For $60 you can’t beat that.
The bottom line is that there is a good reason the Intex Raised Downy Queen Air Bed has been so popular for such a long time. It’s because it gives you more than it costs. This will be a great way to give your guests (or even yourself) a good night’s sleep.
Hi there i have an intex air bed which i paid around the $100 mark for. Everytime for the last 3 or 4 times it has been used i am having moisture retention problems with it. It gets used. Then it is deflated completely and stored away in its carry bag, a couple of weeks later someone comes to stay, and when the mattress is opened up and inflated there is a very large wet patch in the middle of the top of the mattress which has to be dried out before use. Could you please shed some light on this problem, thanks Raewyn
